Can you tell me how to get, how to get to… Stan Lee Way?
That’s right! Our favorite Marvel comic book hero Stan Lee will soon be getting a street named after him in his beloved Bronx in New York state.
In a seemingly small, but meaningful way to honor a man that millions of people loved and admired the New York City council voted to approve a proposal to co-name University Avenue between Brant Place and W 176th. The new street name will be Stan Lee Way. Once mayor Bill de Blasio approves the proposal it will be official.
Stan Lee attended high school at DeWitt Clinton High School in the Bronx and lived at 1720 University Avenue, the street that will soon bear his name.
Several of Stan’s Marvel superheroes including Captain America and Spider-Man call areas of New York City their home. And soon, when you go to visit, you’ll be able to take a stroll down Stan Lee Way.
